NordicJobs.net ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Test Pilot LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using NordicJobs.net you agree to this policy.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: When you register, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We never store plaintext passwords.
- Subscription and billing: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers. We receive and store a Stripe customer ID, subscription status, and renewal date.
- Usage data: We may log server-side request information (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and operational purposes. We do not sell this data.
- Login metadata: When you log in, we record the date and time, your IP address, your browser's user-agent string, and an approximate location (city and country) derived from your IP address. This is used for account security — for example, to help you and us identify unrecognized access to your account. We store only the most recent login's details, and this information is never shared with employers or other users.
- Saved jobs and application tracking: If you use the favorites feature to track your application status, that data is stored in our database and is never shared with employers, third parties, or anyone else. It is solely for your personal use.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the NordicJobs.net service
- To process subscription payments via Stripe
- To send transactional emails (account confirmation, subscription receipts) via Brevo
- To respond to support inquiries
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not use your information for advertising, sell it to third parties, or share it beyond what is described in this policy.
3. Job Listing Data
Job listings displayed on NordicJobs.net are sourced from the Swedish Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen) via the JobTech API, which is publicly available. We do not collect or store any information about your interactions with employer application systems.
4. Cookies and Local Storage
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics scripts. You may disable cookies in your browser, but some features (like staying logged in) will not work without them.
5. Data Retention
We retain account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. financial records required for tax purposes).
6. Third-Party Services
- Stripe — payment processing. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Brevo — transactional email delivery. See Brevo's Privacy Policy.
- Open-Meteo — weather data displayed on job pages. No personal data is sent. See Open-Meteo Terms.
- ipapi.co — used to derive an approximate location (city and country) from your IP address at login, for account-security purposes. Your IP address is sent to this service to obtain the location. See ipapi.co's Privacy Policy.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@nordicjobs.net. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Security
We implement industry-standard security practices including HTTPS encryption, bcrypt password hashing, and prepared SQL statements to prevent injection attacks. No system is 100% secure; we encourage you to use a strong, unique password.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of material changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
